DAY 1 What is Red Ribbon Week?
Enrique (Kiki) S. Camarena was born on July 26, 1947, in Mexicali, Mexico. After graduating from Calexico High School in California, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After his service in the Marine Corps, Kiki was a fireman, police officer and an Imperial County Deputy Sheriff. He joined the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) in 1974. After seven years of working for the DEA in California, Kiki was transferred to Guadalajara, Mexico. In Mexico, he worked to stop the country's biggest marijuana and cocaine traffickers. On February 7, 1985, Kiki was taken by five armed men who kidnapped him. Kiki's body was discovered on March 5, 1985. He was 37 years old and survived by his wife and three children.

Tony Hawk paved the way for professional skateboarding and created a foundation dedicated to supporting underserved youth with skateboarding programs.
