Diamond View School Principal's Report- Mrs. Heimbigner

Third Trimester Updates

Diamond View Students and Families,

We are on the official countdown for this school year. As of today, March 7th, we have sixty-eight more days of school for this school year. For some students, sixty-eight might sound like an extremely long time, for our staff sixty-eight days is terrifying. We have so much more to do and getting everything done in that short period of time is going to be challenging. We have our state testing coming up, field trips, college visits, a literacy festival, volleyball and track, graduation, and with all of that we are trying to wrap up our curriculum and push students to their maximum potential. Needless to say, attendance all the way up until the last day of school is critical.

Parents of 8th graders, please continue checking the daily bulletin. There is information updated weekly with graduation information and end of the year field trip updates. Below is a link to our daily bulletin.

Please take the time to read through this newsletter for important information. As always, feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have questions or concerns.

I hope to see you at parent conferences this week.

3/11, 3/12, and 3/13 1:00- 3:00PM.

-Mrs. Heimbigner

California Dashboard- How does California’s accountability system work?

To help parents and educators identify strengths and areas for improvement, California reports how districts, schools (including alternative schools serving high-risk students), and student groups are performing across state and local measures.

For state measures, performance is based on two factors:

1. Current year results, and

2. Whether results improved from the prior year.
