A True Navy Seal Story

It was the year of 1972, the month was April, while lots were, sleeping or working, others fighting the Vietnam War. June 3rd, 1972, Midnight
At midnight member of US Navy Seal Team One, and Under Water Demolition Team 11 (UTD Team 11 Drove Seals in a SDV ( Swimmer Delivery Vehicle).

Navigational errors, strong currents, and heavy winds, threw the UDT 11 Operators and the Seals off course. An hour later the crew aborted the mission.
June 4th, 1972, Morning
The Seals and UTD Operators were reused by a helicopter off the coast.( Navy.mil)
June 5th, 1972, 11pm
The Seals, and UTD Operators were flown to the location were they thought the USS Grayback was. They count see the Grayback. But the Helicopter pilots enlisted the Seals jump out. The wind speeds were the high, and so was the helicopter. On drop From the Helicopter Lt. Dry died, two seal took bad falls, and one was very badly hurt. A couple hours after the first seal jumped from the Helicopter, the USS Grayback launched a Second SDV. Later the SDV Team ran out of air and had to rise to the surface, abandoning the SDV. After that the two teams rondavoed via a strobe light. Later they were rescued by a HC 7 helicopter. Opperation ThunderHead was a failure. (Navy.mil)
