Mrs. Kelley's 3rd Grade Class Newsletter
June 2015 Last Week of 3rd Grade
Kids had a fantastic time with Mustang Market Place. Their storefronts were colorful and inviting! I think they were all surprised that their products 'sold out' so quickly! I'm very proud of all their hard work. Thank you, parents, for helping gather materials and encouraging your little entrepreneur. It was a valuable and fun learning experience.
The Third Grade teachers have planned several fun days this week but we will be flexible with days and times because of the weather. Kids can bring pillows and beach towels or small blankets to school Monday for Movie Day. We are also planning on a Yearbook Signing Party during the day on Monday. I have the yearbooks for kids that pre-ordered and I will hand those out on Monday. We are also planning to have a "board game" day sometime during the week so kids can bring a favorite board game (no electronics please) on Tuesday.
Kids will bring home supplies and folders this week so please send a little grocery sack or handle bag for them....otherwise their backpack may end up looking like a trash dump!
Our students have worked SO VERY HARD this school year. They completed numerous research projects. They prepped and completed state testing, they learned to multiply and divide. They are problem solvers, readers, writers, researchers, artists, collaborators, designers, business owners, and scientists. I could not be prouder of my little Kelley's Kids and I am excited for what they will accomplish as they continue to grow. I talk often with them that we are a "family" so it is bittersweet for me to let them go. Thank you to all of you for allowing me to be your child's teacher. It has been a privilege. Each one of your children is precious to me. I LOVE getting emails or google docs from my kiddos over the summer so please let them know I'd love to hear from them.
SUMMER BIRTHDAYS: If your kiddo has a birthday in June or July and they would like to bring cookies to celebrate just send me an email to let me know what day you would like to do this. We already have cookies coming on Monday and Wednesday so please let me know ahead of time if you are planning to send something so we don't overload on sweets on the same day. No cupcakes, ice cream, or cakes please. Thank you!
