Adobe Voice video - KID PRODUCED!!!

Malia produced our first weekly Adobe Voice video. I wanted you to hear what your children are learning about straight from them. They made this video completely on their own, and did a GREAT job! Enjoy!

Weather with Matt Benz!

On Wednesday, Matt Benz from WJFW Newswatch 12 came to teach our 2nd graders about weather. He taught us a lot of great information - about pressure, how snowflakes are formed, about tornadoes, and even did some experiments. A group picture of the kids even made it to the 5 O'Clock News! Scroll down to check out pictures!

Technology Open House!

Our students here at Eagle River Elementary School are very fortunate to have access to a lot of GREAT technology. Ms. Davis and I will be hosting this Open House to give families an opportunity to ask questions about the technology we are using during our computer lab time and to come to the computer lab to practice logging in with their child. I will be sending home a sheet with your child’s specific log in information for Envisions Math, Myon, Type to Learn 4 (school only), Pebble Go, Kidblog and Sumdog. If you have questions about how to access any of these websites/programs, or would like help logging in; please stop by our Open House! I encourage you to access these websites from home!

Eagle River Elementary School Ice Castle

This week, the Eagle River Area Fire Department came to school to build the Kindergarten Ice Castle. Our 2nd grade class got to participate by teaching the kindergartners a computer program they learned. The ERAFD explained that the real ice castle is designed each year using Legos. Our 2nd graders taught the kindergartners how to build a castle out of Legos on the Google App Lego Builder. Great job 2nd graders!
