Core Values
- Jackie Muro - Excellence - Jackie has had an extreme amount of protocols to keep up with, along with tracking quarantine times/return to school etc. on top of her "normal" duties. She takes on every challenge with a smile and gives grace to everyone she deals with! It's also her BIRTHDAY!
- Amy Lindsey for Growth and Relationship!
This year Amy has stepped up and accepted a huge challenge of being my eyes and ears when she supports the gen ed teachers. She gives great input on how I can make her schedule better to help our kids and teachers.
Amy has kept a lasting relationship with her best bud Kristi, but now Amy faced her new year without her. She is keeping a positive attitude and taking on new responsibilities. Thank you so much!!! The kids love you and depend on you!
Amy Lindsey- Initiative
Amy came up with a creative way to paint some stars and refurbish them for the front foyer. She took the stars home and painted them all different colors, and brought them in ready to be hung the very next day!
I want to give a shout out to all the staff here!!! This is an amazing group of people to work with and I am so impressed everyday at the positivity, encouragement, grace, and love that I see each and every person give to not only each other, but all the students as well. It is truly impressive! I am proud to be a part of this team and to work with such amazing leaders!!
Dan Allard- Excellence - The man is teacher English, virtual, bilingual ELA and SLA... his positive attitude in doing whatever it takes to have kids here and teach them has been an inspiration and ray of sunshine for myself on days that seem so tough.
Robin Kimbrough- Initiative - Robin had a student have to go virtual. She reached out that very day wanting to know what she could do to get him up and going, and how she could reach the child so he could continue to learn. Even though it meant more workload, she took the bull by the horns and never spoke a negative word about it because she wanted that kid learning!
Katie Fox - Initiative Despite the 100 degree temps, Katie decorated the exterior windows to Hook to make the school look more inviting for our students. It took her over 2 days to complete and it looks absolutely amazing!!
Kelly Montieth- Relationships - Kelly made special bus cookies to recognize all of our bus drivers. She went above and beyond to make them feel special and to help them realize they are a vital part to the success of education for students!
Amber Lasater- Initiative - When her partner was out she did everything she could to make that time a positive experience for the kids, to make sure everything ran smoothly, even got a kiddo placed in her class that could have easily sent her over the edge knowing his history, yet stayed positive knowing the amount of love the child needed.
Kayla Bibles- Excellence - Handling all behaviors like a champ! She's new to the position and has had to do the job alone for several days. No matter how many times she here's the F word she smiles, stays calm, and continues on! She's a rockstar!
Initiative - The ladies listed below have provided extensive, amazing lessons and resources for our team to get our second unit started off right!!
Robin Kimbrough
Lynn Carroll
Suzanne Webb
I would like to give a shout out to all the Virtual Teachers (3rd and 4th).
They are rocking the challenges that have been set before them! We see you giving your all!!!! The long hours, the innovative lessons, the relationships you're building...it's hard enough in person...but especially hard through a screen. Virtual teachers are showing initiative by doing what's never been done at HOOK before! You rock!
I would like to nominate our instructional aides (Shannon, Amy, Hope, Lora, and Becky) for excellence. They are always willing to jump in and help with any task asked of them. They gracefully accept any schedule changes given to them, even if it is in the middle of the day. We are truly blessed to have each one of them!!
