Principal's Message
We had another busy week at the complex. Our third grade students began taking the NJSLA test and completed the ELA portion on Tuesday and Wednesday. Next week they will take the math sections Tuesday-Thursday. We recommend getting proper rest and meals during this time period so your child will be able to put forth the best effort possible. Daily attendance during this time period is very important.
This week our second grade students were the first ones in the complex to go on a field trip since before the pandemic! They visited the Cape May Zoo on Wednesday and had a wonderful time. There was a little rain in the beginning, but that did not stop the students from enjoying their trip. A big thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to be chaperones. It was great to have everyone together and resume normal, fun activities. Next week our kindergarten students will be going on their Storybook Land field trip on Friday.
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week. Our amazing Parents' Club was kind enough to have a special activity or treat for our staff each day of the week and we owe them a big thank you. We are so grateful for our wonderful staff and the hard work and care that they put into this important job every day. We are so lucky to have them all.
It's supposed to be a rainy weekend, but I hope you all get to spend some time relaxing inside. For all of the mothers, I wish you a very Happy Mother's Day on Sunday. You have one of the hardest, most important jobs in the world and you deserve to be thanked and recognized.
Sincerely,
Joe Marinelli

CHARACTER EDUCATION
April Student of the Month
Community Partnership
We are excited to kick off our Little Eagles Fun Run program on June 1st. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for student achievement and activities & staff enrichment. This will help strengthen our school community. To make our fundraising more profitable and fun, we have partnered with Boosterthon! Boosterthon is a 2-week fundraising campaign that promotes fitness, teamwork, and character while helping our school raise much needed funds! The program will begin with a kickoff video on June 1st and end with an epic Fun Run experience on June 10th!
All students will run 35 minutes and get pledges for each lap they run (Ex: $1 per minute = $35) or they can get flat donation pledges as well. As they get pledges, they have the opportunity to earn fun prizes too. Between kickoff and Fun Run, students will learn about character, be issued nightly challenges, and get pledges from friends and family to help their school!
We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at MYBOOSTER.COM. Sharing IS supporting! Just as we worked to safely begin school this year, we are also safely hosting this essential fundraiser based on our school’s current guidelines. We’ll send more details, as we get closer to our kick off.
