COLORADO EDUCATOR LICENSING APPLICATION FEES INCREASE - MARCH 1, 2016
In November 2015, the Colorado State Board of Education approved a moderate increase in the fees associated with the evaluation of applications for educator licensure. This increase is necessary in order to sustain the rising costs associated with the day-to-day operation of the Office of Educator Preparation and Licensure.
Effective March 1, 2016, the evaluation fee for applications from in-state educators will be $90 and $110 for applications from out-of-state educators, though the evaluation fee for an added endorsement application will remain at $80. The fee for the review of one-year substitute and other authorization applications will increase to $60. A new background check-only application will be made available for use by student teachers and educators in charter and private schools. The evaluation fee for this application will be $80.
*The Colorado Bureau of Investigation-required fingerprint fee is determined and set by CBI and remains the same at this time.
