Now (what has happened this week)

Welcome to our weekly newsletter!

Hello from Balladen School.

It was wonderful to see all of the children back at school after the half term holiday. They had so many stories to tell. It was a joy to listen to them.

We have had an incredibly busy week of learning at school.

On Tuesday the girls football team played a friendly match against Helmshore Primary School. They did a super job and tried their best but unfortunately lost the game.

On Wednesday many of the children were lucky enough to have a Multi-Sports taster session in our hall. The children really enjoyed moving and learning.

On Thursday some of our children went swimming in the afternoon and we also had some representatives participating in a curling competition at Fearns. They also tried extremely hard and really enjoyed their competition.

On Friday Year Two were fortunate enough to visit Pets at home in Rawtenstall. We will share some pictures of their visit at a later date. Also on Friday, Year 4 visited Nuttall Park with Mr Grime. They had a wonderful time and really enjoyed being in the outdoors and having fun.

We will be celebrating World Book day on Thursday 3rd March. We have sent a letter home and are really looking forward to seeing all of the children (and adults!) dressed up as book characters.

Thank you for your continued support.

Have a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week.
