How Sammy Started/ Ended His Career

Sammy Davis Jr. was born December 8, 1925, in New York City. This man started very young. His first time facing the stage was when he was 3 years old. He then regularly played with his father until 1950 when he became solo. He was a huge star on Broadway acting in some of the huge hit movies or T.V shows. Sammy is truly an all time entertainer. He was a smoker and died at the age 64 to the cause of cancer, on May 16, 1990.

Sammy Davis Jr, was in the movie Tap, the huge hit on Broadway called Mr. Wonderful, another one on Broadway is Golden boy.

People all over would call Sammy the greatest entertainer around and the greatest tap dancer around. Sammy was a Veteran in WWII, after that got over he moved back to NYC resume showbiz. Everybody loved Sammy, he exulted joy wherever, whether singing or dancing. He was in an interracial marriage with Sweden actress Maybrit in 1960. Sammy and Maybrit had 1 child of there own that was a girl and they adopted 2 boys. He then got divorced and married a 2nd time to dancer Altowise Davis. Sammy liked to fight for his own rights so he marched in the big marches and was with Martin Luther King Jr.
