Harv's Happenings
Week of December 1 - 5
Please accept my apologies for the condensed version of the newsletter this week, but I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving break! It is well deserved for each of our learners (and their families!) as they have worked so hard over the past few weeks and months. It is my hope they come back to school in December with the same enthusiasm they left with today.
Life Principle of the Week
“It is easier to leave angry words unspoken than to mend a heart that is broken.”

The Week in Review
This past week we continued our learning of matter. We studied weight and mass, temperature, and the three states of matter; solid, liquid, and gas. We discovered that matter makes up everything in the world. All that we can see and touch, and all that we cannot see.
In Social Studies, we continued to look at some of the causes and events leading up to the Texas Revolution. The next phase of our book will to become an expert on one area within the revolution that we can inform others about.
On Deck: Science & Social Studies
After the break, we will use the properties of matter to classify objects and in Social Studies we will continue to work towards the final product of an informational book about the Texas Revolution.
