BREAKING NEWS: Pirate Sea Legs Exchanged for Land Legs
That's right! Forget the ship; Pirates were running all over Sacramento this weekend! Saturday April 27, over 40 K-12 Pirates joined the Natomas 5K (photo right: Dart, Edwards). This race was a fundraiser for Natomas Schools Foundation, who award local student scholarships and laptops. Sunday April 28, the Run for Rhett Enrichment completed their culminating activity, the Run for Rhett 5k at Sacramento City College with dozens of other schools (photo below: MS Run for Rhett team). Run for Rhett is an organization dedicated to celebrating movement and life, inspired after the loss of a loved one, Rhett. Congratulations to everyone that trained, volunteered, cheered, ran, and encouraged others. Arrrgh!
