Congratulations to Mrs Heidi Fowler on being named our Support Person of the Year and Mrs Keller-Mitchell as being selected as the OVERALL Madison County Schools Secondary Teacher of the Year! We are very proud! Also, a huge thanks to all the local news stations for covering the event!
Playoffs start tonight! Travel down to Hoover Met to support your Sparkman Senators as they take on Hoover High School! GO SENATORS!!
This week in conjunction with the Madison County Election Office, Sparkman seniors voted in a mock election. The seniors got experience about how the polling system works and they voted on 5 mock initiatives developed by seniors across the county. They also had the opportunity to register to vote.
We held our Veteran’s Day program this week to honor all those who have served our country. We would like to thank all of those who have served our country.
Congratulations to the Sparkman JV Cheerleaders on their Regional Championship win!!
Congratulations to the Sparkman Co-Ed team. They had a great start to the ‘19-‘20 cheer competition season! Two UCA Regional championships, one in Traditional division and the other in Game Day division!
Congratulations to the Band for winning Runner Up and best percussion at the class 7A Alabama State Marching Band Championships!!!
Senior Information
The following dates with Herff Jones have been scheduled for the upcoming school year.
Seniors: Cap/Gowns and Invitations
- Tuesday, October 29th: Seniors Class Meeting in Gym 1 at 9:00 am
- Wednesday, November 6th: Senior Orders during Lunch and 4:00pm-6:00 pm.
- Wednesday, November 20th: Senior Order during Lunch
Rehearsals:
1:30-5:00 Monday, May 18, 2020: Gym 1, Sparkman High School
- Students should arrive and be in their seats by 1:30.
- Students are required to stay the entire practice.
- Graduation tickets will be given to the student at the end of practice. Each student will receive 9 tickets. Every guest requiring a seat must have a ticket for admission into the VBC Arena.
7:30-9:00 Tuesday, May 19, 2020: VBC Arena
- Students should arrive no later than 7:15 and be in their seats by 7:30 am.
- Students are required to stay the entire practice.
Graduation:
2:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2020: VBC Arena
- Graduates must be present no later than 1:00 pm.
- Noisemakers of any kind are prohibited by the VBC.
- VBC doors will open at 12:30 pm for guests.
- Graduation will be streamed live.
- Diploma pickup will be at the VBC immediately following the commencement ceremony.
Dress Code for Graduation:
Black pants, black socks, and shoes, white shirt, dark tie for the young men. The young ladies will wear black dress or black slacks, and black shoes (absolutely NO FLIP FLOPS, CROCS, etc. Dress shoes only!) Please keep jewelry to a minimum (only small earrings or a watch). If you have a question about an item, the student should see Ms. Gray about the item at least a week before May 18th.
MySchool Fees - Online Payment System to pay for Fees
· Go to sparkmanhigh.mcssk12.org
· Select “For Parents”
· Select “MySchoolFees”
· Select “Category”
· Pick “Course” and add to Cart (Repeat as needed)
· Once all categories have been selected, hit “Checkout” button and follow instructions for payment
· Click on who will “own Public Fees” and designate if the funds are for the same recipient or several recipients
· If funds are for the same recipient, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name.
· If funds are for several recipients, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name for each category.
· Submit and continue.
· Follow instructions to checkout.
