Shout Outs!
Shout out to the PTO for spoiling us with the yummies and Chick-fila lunch. Your thoughtfulness and help are always appreciated!
Shout out to the Student Council for the root beer floats. It was a wonderful treat to top off lunch!
The bus keeps rolling...
Granger Families!
We have exciting news! Our FCCLA and Nurse Erica have worked really hard in coordination with a group called the Lunch Fairy. They have generously donated 5,000.00 to cover outstanding student lunch debt for Granger Students. While this doesn't cover all the lunch debt, we were able to distribute 70.00 to each student with a negative balance. For the majority of our students, this wiped out their lunch debt entirely. We are very grateful for their donation.
This does not cover debt until the end of school, but what a blessing to have so much covered up to this point .
The Lunch Fairy is a non-profit and this is their mission:
- every kid in the country deserves access to a good school lunch. It’s much harder to learn and be metabolically healthy when you don’t have access to a good lunch.
- we are looking to help districts in every state
- our primary goals are to set up emergency funds that students can access, and to eliminate school lunch debt
If we as a district can help, please reach out to your Principals.
Thanks!
Ms. Neatherlin
