Our last month of fun!
I want to send out a special thank you to all my amazing families! Thank you for letting me be your child's teacher! I have such wonderful students; it has been a great school year! This is, as you know, our last full month of school! This year has gone by so fast, that I feel like that we should just be finishing the holidays and getting into the spring season, yet here we are approaching summer very quickly!
A look into May: These next few weeks left of school, we will be busy wrapping up everything but still having lots of fun!! There will be only a few pieces of art work being sent home; instead I will be saving them to become part of our end of the year graduation portfolios! They will be so much fun to look back with your child and reflect on all their hard work this year! I have also started the spring assessments and will be continuing them for the next few days. We will also be starting our graduation songs and practicing them throughout this month. Lastly, I will be finalizing and concluding all end of the year lessons and learning for school year.
Themes for May: Ocean life, Gardening with fruits and vegies, Bugs and Butterflies, Summer outdoor fun, and Graduation with our last days of school activities!
April Recap: We had a great start with the celebration of Easter! We marble painted Easter egg papers and had a fun Easter party. We had a flower shop in the dramatic play area and decorated own own cookies with pastel colors. We then learned about zoo animals, and had a veterinarian pet doctor hospital set up in the dramatic play area. And of course, who can forget our fantastic field trip to our local Zoo! Following that we studied about pond life including fish, turtles, frogs, bugs, and birds. We looked deeply into the life cycle of a frog with great fascination! Your child has been working on a surprise Mother's Day gift for all you amazing moms!
I am looking forward to our adorable graduation program coming up, and I am also hoping to see you around to volunteer in the classroom or just to come and play with your child during our last few days of school if you like.
A special thank you for Christian's Dad, who is a Master of Arms (A Navy police officer). He came and visited our school recently. Thank You again. We greatly enjoyed having you and thank you for your service to our country!
Enjoy this month's photos,
P.S. Don't forget that we need parent helpers for our graduation please... please look in your payment packet for a form to fill out to let us know you can help.
