M.M.S. News & Notes
February 18, 2022
From the Principal
M.M.S. Parents and Guardians,
Greetings! I am hopeful you have enjoyed some spring-like weather these past two weeks. I am happy to share with you that things are moving right along at MMS in very positive ways. As you know, our district's health and safety plan changed to mask optional for students and staff. I have been so impressed with the kids in accepting one another's choice to wear or not wear a mask while in the building (masks are still required on the bus). We have stressed the importance of respecting differences in others and I have seen this message resonating throughout the building!
This past week our Student Advisory team has incorporated some fun activities associated with Valentines Day and the winter Olympics during lunch for the kids to enjoy. I cannot tell you how great it is to hear the kids laughing and enjoying the "little" things that can make the middle school experience most memorable.
I hope you each have a fantastic weekend and please encourage your child to enjoy some time outdoors this extended weekend. Have a fantastic Friday!
Joel Yohn, Principal
