News Flash
Hoops for Hearts is in full swing. Students may purchase an American Heart Association Red t-shirt for $10 in the front atrium starting Feb. 1st- 10th. Students can decorate and wear their AHA t-shirt Feb. 11th for the Mustang Madness Basketball Tournament in the gym. Students may also pay a $1.00 and participate in the following theme days:
Monday, Feb. 8th- Twins Day
Tuesday, Feb. 9th- Decades Day
Wednesday, Feb. 10th- PJ Day
Thursday, Feb. 11th- Red out day and Mustang Madness Basketball Tournament in the Gym during Connections.
Students may also honor someone that they know who has been impacted by coronary heart disease by purchasing a heart for $1.00 from Feb. 8th- Feb. 10th.
WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF PAPER TOWELS, CLOROX/LYSOL WIPES & KLEENEX PLEASE!!! YOUR DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
RTWC # 23 is due FRIDAY.

Curriculum Updates
1st Period- We are done reading Escaping the Giant Wave and are now reading Paperboy for our read aloud. We also began Figurative Language this week. We will continue with Figurative Language through next week and have an assessment at the end of next week. Following this, we will analyze the Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe.
4th Period- We are finishing Escaping the Giant Wave this week. We will have our final book test this Friday and begin Paperboy next week. We also began Figurative Language this week.
