LAS VEGAS HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (PROGRAMA DE BECAS DE ASOCIACIÓN DE ALUMNOS DE LA SECRETARÍA DE LAS VEGAS)
Seniors! Realizing that this is the final year of high school, it might be a good time to consider what you want to pursue next year when your mandatory education is over. Some of you may want to attend college or university, others may choose technical school, and some may choose to simply enter the work force. Whatever the choice, it’s not too soon to be preparing for it.
You may think it’s too early in the school year to consider this, but the Las Vegas High School Alumni Association does not. We award scholarships to qualified applicants who plan on attending a Southern Nevada college or university. These scholarships are available to LVHS graduating seniors only! We will be beginning our 9th year sponsoring this program. In 2015, we awarded 5, 2 scholarships at $4000 apiece, and 3 scholarships at $2000 apiece. This year, we have set aside $16,000 in scholarship money to we awarded in $1000 to $4000. To date, we have awarded 41 scholarships, totaling $75,000. Start the year right, consider applying, and contact your guidance counselor now.
Next year, you’re on your own, educationally at least. Whatever choice you make, make the most of it. Former LVHS grads have gone on to become local, state, and national leaders. Best of luck to all of you.

Seniors!
