2023-2024 SY Lottery Pull
We will run on our lottery onTuesday January 24th at 10 am. If your Kindergarten student/sibling is accepted you will receive an acceptance email with instructions on how to complete your Kindergarten students registration.
Everyone has completed their intent to return for existing students attending Ascent. At this time there nothing further that needs to be completed for your existing student.
After School Club Registration
Club will start on Tuesday January 31st as we will not have school on Monday January 30th due to a Teacher Professional Day.
- We will continue to offer Choir which will be held on Tuesdays for students in 3rd - 6th Grade. If your student PREVIOUSLY signed up for choir during the 1st round - they DO NOT need to sign up again - this is for new students wanting to join.
- We will continue to have Band & Orchestra which are held on Monday & Wednesday's for students in 4th - 6th Grade, however you will need to sign up through Riverton Music. If you are interested and need to rent an instrument, click HERE
- We have a NEW Club: Dungeon & Dragons that will be held on Wednesday's for students in 3rd - 6th grade. In this new club students will be able to role play and use their imagination.
If your student is interested in signing up for Choir or Dungeon & Dragons, click HERE to fill out the After School Club Form. The form needs to be completed by Thursday January 26th, you will receive an email by Friday January 27th if your student made it into the after school club.
Mid Year Assessment Letter
This report will list where you student currently is with Dibels, Phonics, Accurate and Fluent Reading, and Reading Comprehension. If you have any questions regarding this report, please reach out to your teacher.
School Store
For now when you add items to your cart - DO NOT click Sign In, click on your cart instead. After you select Check Out, click on SIGN OUT AS GUEST - DO NOT log in. You will have to manually enter your information, but doing it this way will allow you to process your transaction.

YEARBOOK Pre Order
We working on a yearbook that covers events throughout the year. Will be offering a Soft Cover for $15.00 and a Hard Cover for $19.50.

Fundraisers
We are excited to announce that we have a family that is willing to match all of our school wide donations!! For every dollar that a student or family donates to the school either for dress down, restaurant nights or just a direct donation, this family will match that amount for up to a total of $3000! That would exceed our goal so keep those donations coming so we can maximize our matching opportunity.
As we have shared, we are currently working on raising money for additional playground equipment. We have set a goal of $5000.00.
Thank you to all of those who headed to Cafe Rio fro lunch or dinner on January 11th, we will be receiving $186 from that fundraiser night, bringing our fundraising total to $1347.
Here are upcoming Fundraiser events to look forward to:
- Thursday January 26th, Dress Down - $2.00 optional donation
- February - Penny Wars, start saving your pennies - More information to come.
Library Wish List
Interested in helping our school's library grow?? Check out our library's wish list for books Mrs. Blaser is looking for!
- Our amazing librarian has created a wish list of library items. Although the wish list is on Amazon, it is not necessary to purchase these items directly from Amazon. Items can be new (purchased from a store of your choosing) or even gently used, so if you have one of these books at home and have finished using it we would be happy to accept it as a library donation- just drop off library donations to the front office.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Background Check Fingerprint Processing
- Wednesday, January 25th, 2 pm - 3 pm
There is no sign up, please just show up. The fee is $31.25.
If you currently have a Background Check with Alpine School District you can clone it over to Ascent. Please visit Alpine School District and get a transfer form. You will then bring the form to Ascent, pay $10.00 and then we will submit it to BCI.

Do you have concerns regarding your student? If so, please reach out to your students teacher. The will be able to look into the concern and then be aware of what is happening.
Ascent Saratoga School Closure & Delay
Tis the season for winter weather and the possibility of a school closure or late start. If this is necessary, this information will be shared in the following ways:
- Email to ALL faculty and staff
- E-notes text or call
- Posted on Facebook and our website
- Posted on FOX and KSL news
If you do not see or hear anything through any of these sources then you can plan for regular start as usual. I have to make these decisions by around 5:30am so notifications will come out that day shortly after that time in the morning.
Lunch Information
MONTHLY BREAKFAST & LUNCH MENU
Log into Aspire (ascent.usoe-dcs.org) to check your students Lunch Balance.
If your student is -$15.00 or more, your student will receive an alternate small lunch.
Lunch Money will be posted to your student's account before the first lunch which is at 10:55 am. If you submit a lunch payment after that time we will do our best to post it.
Uniforms with cooler weather
Students may wear the following items:
- Long sleeved polo shirt in uniform colors
- Short sleeved polo shirt in uniform colors with a long sleeved WHITE t-shirt underneath
- Sweater over their polo shirt in uniform colors. Sweaters can be pull over, zip up, button up, cardigan or quarter zip as long as they are in uniform colors.
- Spirit hoodie over their polo shirt any day of the week.
Students should not be wearing sweatshirts, hoodies or sweaters in their classrooms that do not adhere to uniform guidelines. These items as well as jackets may only be worn when outside for recess.
