Chirstmas Party Thank You's

Thank you so much to everyone who pitched in to help the Christmas parties run so smoothly! It was great seeing all the smiling faces of the kids who enjoyed the last class of the semester!

Harvesters

Calling all 6th, 7th and 8th graders! We are heading to Harvesters for a night of fun and service on January 9. We will meet in the lower lot and leave at 5:30 pm. We will return right around 8:15 pm. Friends and parents are always welcome to join us! Please RSVP below so we know how many seats we need.

Souper Bowl of Caring

Our next class competition begins when we return to PSR on January 21/22! We will be collecting soups, canned fruit, canned potatoes, canned vegetables, canned pasta sauce, canned chili, boxes of pasta, plastic jars of peanut butter, canned tuna/chicken and ramen noodles to benefit Bishop Sullivan Center (formerly St. James Place). Please bring your donations into class with you and leave it on the counter so that accurate results can be tallied and posted on the wall in the PSR hallway. Our competition will run through the classes on February 11/12, so make sure you bring that food in by then! Thanks!

Parents, please plan on staying with your kiddos. We will need several readers and kids who would be willing to bring up the gifts. Please RSVP. For any questions, please contact Mindy.

Class Cancellation Policy

  • For Sunday morning: I will decide by 7 pm Saturday night, and honestly, probably not one minute before that. I HATE cancelling classes. I will put it on Facebook, and will make sure that it's on the website (www.holyfamily.com). Please check those first. If something blows through overnight, I will send out a mass email to everyone.
  • For Sunday night: Please don't assume that just because I cancelled Sunday morning, Sunday night is cancelled, because, like I said, I HATE cancelling. I will make the decision by 2 pm and post it to Facebook and the website (www.holyfamily.com). Please make sure to check those first. If something blows in after 2 pm, I'll send a mass email to everyone.
  • For Monday night: We follow St. Charles Boromeo Academy (Clay County Catholic Schools). We DON'T follow NKCSD or PHSD or anyone else, because they cancel due to bussing concerns. We don't bus. If St. Charles thinks it is okay for their parents to bring their kiddos in, then I'm going to have class. It will be posted to Facebook and the website (www.holyfamily.com) as soon as I know that St. Charles has called school off. If bad weather hits us mid-day, then I will send out a mass email.

Anonymous Blessings

There are still lots of spots open for anonymous blessings in all of the classes. If you would be interested in bringing in a little "thank you" gift for any of our teachers, please send me an email so we can arrange a date for you to do so.

Many thanks to all the families who have already brought in anonymous blessings for our teachers! It is awesome to see the looks on their faces when I drop them off. You are definitely brightening their day by giving them a small token of appreciation! Thank you!

PSR Needs

As we head into the 2nd semester of PSR, we are finding ourselves running low on:

  • Clorox Wipes
  • Kleenex
  • Paper plates for crafts

If you happen to find a deal on any of these, please consider helping PSR out. Thanks in advance for your generosity!

Save the Date - VBS!

Pending the timeline on our upcoming expansion - please make plans to join us for VBS this summer! Our theme is Shipwrecked - Rescued by Jesus! Vacation Bible School will run from July 16 - 20. Look for more information in the coming months!
