The River Nile is the longest river in Africa and the world stretching about 6 670km long. Only 22% of the river runs through Egypt. It was an important fact in Ancient Egypt's survival. It provided them with good soil and a good defence. It would also allow them to fish on the river. The Nile would also allow them to make trades with other cities living up the river.
