King Tut (King Tutankhamen) was a pharaoh of Egypt and was given the throne at the age of 9 but later died at the age of 19. His death is a mystery to be solved. His tomb is in the Valley of Kings but was not found till 1922.

The Pyramids of Giza are made up 2 million blocks of stone. It was built over a 20 year period with the pyramids reaching 139 metres tall. These pyramids are Egypt's most famous monument.
The Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx is in Giza and is one of the largest and oldest monuments in the world. It is the largest Monolith Statue in the world. It was approximately built in 2500 BC by Pharaoh Khafre who supposedly also built the second pyramid in Giza.
Hatshepsut's Temple
The Hatshepsut's Temple was built between 1479 BC - 1458 BC.
Temple of Karnak
The Temple of Karnak is largest ancient religious site in the world. It represents the combined achievements of many Egyptian Builders. Most of the work has been done by the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. It is located 2.5km North of Luxor.
Valley of the Kings
The valley of the Kings is where they found most of the Ancient Pharaohs and King Tut. They have found 63 tombs and chambers. The chambers are decorated with scenes of belief and clues from Egypt Mythology.

Giza is the third largest city Egypt. It is located on the West Bank of the Nile River. It is also home of the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza.
Alexandria
Alexandria is the second largest city and a major economic centre in Egypt. It is along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The city has may Greco-Roman landmarks.

River Nile

It provided them with good soil and a good defence. It would also allow them to fish on the river. The Nile would also allow them to make trades with other cities living up the river.
