19th Century Industrialization

What were the factories like?

Working Conditions

Factories had little to no safety precautions or age restrictions enforced upon them meaning any able, well bodied man, woman, or child could work in them. The conditions within the factories were horrendous, the rooms were normally dark and disease ridden, and workers could be "on the job" for 24 hours at a time.

My Thoughts

Factories could be greatly improved upon just by opening up multiple fields and jobs along with enforcing not only safety (equipment when dealing with hot materials etc...) requirements but making the working age at least 14 since a child has enough of a concept of responsibility upon entering high school.
