Hello TJ seniors! You're in the home stretch. We know that April was a big month for many of you who received college admissions, reviewed financial aid awards, and decided on where to enroll. We also know that not everyone has finalized their plans for next year and that many of you have plans other than going to college. We encourage you all to stop by the Future Center for support with your future plans, whatever they may be.

No Plans Yet? Don't Worry!

The dreaded question...what are you doing next year?

If you haven't figured out your plan for next year yet OR if you know what you want to do but aren't sure how to get there, now is the time to take control of your future. Come to the Future Center today to make a plan or to take the first step towards your goals. There are only a few weeks left until graduation, so take advantage of the resources that exist while you still can!

Scholarship Opportunities - It's Not Too Late

It's not too late to apply for scholarships! Also, if you're worried that your GPA isn't high enough to qualify for scholarships, there are many options without a GPA requirement. Stop by the Future Center to check out new additions to the Scholarship Wall and check Career Cruising for additional opportunities. NOTE: If you don't remember how to access Career Cruising, visit the Future Center for a quick tutorial and to get your login.


TJHS Legacy Scholarship - $5000 - Deadline: May 20, 2016

To apply, submit the application (available in the Future Center), sealed transcript, essay (500 word minimum), and proof of employment or volunteer service.

  • Must be a senior at TJHS
  • Intending to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution
  • GPA between a 2.0-3.5
  • US Citizen
  • Either employed part time during the 2015-2016 school year OR volunteers biweekly within the last 7 months with no less than 50 hrs of service
  • Has been accepted to an accredited institution
