Letter From The CEO:

Hello to our Wonderful Library Community,

What a wild ride! I want to thank all of you, first thing, for being so patient with us as we work through these rapid changes in how we are able to offer our services to you. The good news is we are open, though with limited hours, thanks to the effort of Larimer County to include public libraries in their variance request.

Of course there are some additional rules we need to follow right now. Everyone who comes in must wear a mask or other fabric face covering while in the building, and there are hand sanitizer stations throughout the building just for all of you. While appointments are not required, we do recommend you make one to ensure that you can get into the building when you want. We have to limit the number of people in the building, and the limits that are still in place regarding the number of employees we can have there make scheduling an interesting puzzle for us right now. Watch our Facebook page and our website for potential changes to our operating hours.

Summer Learning has begun! While we missed our usual Kickoff Party, Summer Learning is on, so call or email us for details. Remember that we have Summer Learning opportunities for anyone who is alive, regardless of age, so you all qualify. Again, we wish we could run our usual classes in person, but current requirements say no classes or programming can happen in our building at this time. That means we moved everything online, so if you’re used to attending our weekly events for teens, our elementary school events, or story time, you still can virtually! For more details about Summer Learning, give us a call—we’re in the building six days a week from 9 to 5.

We thank you for taking such good care of our items while we were shut down, and for bringing them back to us now that we’ve reopened. But please, take advantage of curbside or make an appointment and check out some of our stuff! Most people don’t realize that our library building can’t actually hold everything we own, and we count on a good portion of it being at home with all of you. So come take some stuff home with you, we have plenty right now.

Happy summer to everyone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s some way we can help you, and we look forward to seeing you (or bringing stuff out to your car) soon!
