Homework

Prodigy: Your children have a login for this free website in their homework journals. From what I hear, they are loving it!! We will be using it in class frequently, so utilize this tool at home if you would like for your child to have extra practice! I change the assignment weekly or bi-weekly to correlate with what we are working on in class.

Spelling City: You can input the week's spelling list on this free website and your kiddo can take practice tests to help them get ready for the weekly dictation tests!

*Your child will come home each week with an optional homework sheet glued inside a homework notebook.

*The homework will consist of spelling words/word wall words that should be practiced at home, one spelling activity per week, one technology based activity per week.

*Students can use the spelling word cards you will see in a baggie at the front of their homework journal, to practice spelling throughout the week too.

*Reading for 15-20 minutes every night will help your kiddo soooo much! I do not send books for them to read. I want their "at-home" reading to be their choice, so they continue to grow a love for reading.
