GMS Bulldog Bulletin

Principal's Message
GMS family, we couldn't be more thankful for your support during these first few weeks. Optimism remains high considering going virtual after a week of face-to-face instruction. We are asking you to help us in making sure the children are attending virtual classes during this time. Teachers are working each day to prepare lessons and answer questions the children may have. What we do not want is students to fall behind, and with your support, we can prevent this.
To help prevent further face-to-face interruption, we ask that if your child is sick, please keep him/her at home. Students will have ample time to make up their lessons, and assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. Also, we cannot mandate mask-wearing but we do encourage it. This is not only for their safety, but the safety of others.
With your continued support, we can make this a great year!!!!!
COVID Procedures
If a student tests positive for COVID-19, please contact the school as soon as possible, so that we can begin the necessary contact tracing. If a student is placed in quarantine, parents will be notified by a school official. Quarantined students are still expected to log in and participate in virtual classes if they are healthy enough to do so. If your quarantined student begins to not feel well please notify the school as soon as possible.

GMS Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to GMS! All purchases will support literacy and our school library. Students will be able to visit the book fair during school days while the book fair is here. There will also be a virtual book fair option beginning September 15th. The virtual fair link can be shared with family and friends, near and far, and has books for all ages! Check out the GMS website on the 15th to access the virtual Scholastic Book Fair. Thank you for your support!
Chromebooks and Chargers
Student Chromebooks are assigned to a specific child in our digital inventory system. At the end of the year, students must return Chromebooks and chargers so their accounts can be cleared. Students are responsible for their chargers. If lost or damaged, chargers are $33.97 for a replacement.
Picture Day is here...Get your Smile Ready!
Picture day is September 27th. More information will be forthcoming.
