A Note from Mrs. Raper
My final newsletter. Wow! It has been a great year, full of excitement, learning and fun! I have enjoyed this year very much and look forward to hearing about the wonderful things this class accomplishes. I know you have enjoyed watching them grow this past year as I have! Thank you for your amazing support throughout this year. It has truly been a blessing to me and your child. Have a wonderful summer!
These last days will be busy and fun! We plan to reflect on the past year, prepare for next year and have a lot of fun together!
Tomorrow we will be going to Star Skate and having pizza for lunch when we return. Your child does not need to bring a lunch unless they want to. Some of our wonderful parents have graciously donated this to the class. Thank you!!!
This Week in Class...
As we say goodbye to second grade, we will be working on our Second Grade memory books. This will give us the opportunity to reflect on our time in second grade, and all of our favorite things from this year, and stage in our lives. It is something fun to look back on in a few years from now to remember what we were like in second grade.
Your child's math journal will be coming home today. You can use it to practice different skills over the summer. Some of the skills to practice over the summer are:
addition facts
subtraction facts
time to nearest 5 minutes
money
place value
shapes
weight
measurement
fractions
multiplication
division
