Lets Get Movin' Party - Friday, May 27 at 1:00 PM
In order to assist all our team members, we are going to have a “Let’s Get Moving” party. We are going to rally around our colleagues who are moving to a new location. Each team will have a team leader who will help coordinate the team. A team will arrive to help you relocate your items to your new classroom for the upcoming school year. We ask that you not burden yourself with large items and heavy boxes. Personal furniture can be moved, but the standard classroom items must remain in the original classroom. Do not move any filing cabinets, storage cabinets, book shelves that are GCPS issued.I will send an e-mail out with the Movin' Teams. Each classroom will be equipped with the following:
2 book shelves
2 Filing cabinets
1 teacher desk
1 storage cabinet
Student desk/chairs
Accept + Adapt +Depend=Success by Jacki Sellmansberger
I am at the start of a new crossroads in my life. I have never been at this exact place before! I have changed jobs, locations, relationships, etc. but never my career! It is an exciting, bittersweet time! There have been some fears and tears, and will probably be more amidst the joys as we say goodbye next week. Each of you holds a special place in my heart! Many have said to me, “Oh, I wish I were in your shoes!” And yes, this is definitely a choice that I made. There was no pressure from anyone or anywhere to retire. It just seemed like a good time to cut back somewhat on the hours I have put in the past 30+ years! My family needs me, and I need to be more a part of their lives. I am excited and happy!
So here’s the lesson I am learning at this new juncture in my life…First of all, ACCEPT WHERE THIS CHOICE IS LEADING ME! I have plans, but I am holding them all very loosely, as I wait to see what God’s plans are for me. Secondly, ADAPT TO WHATEVER SITUATION I MAY FIND MYSELF IN, AS A RESULT OF MY CHOICES! And thirdly, DEPEND ON GOD TO DIRECT MY HEART AND MIND AS THE FUTURE UNFOLDS! Most of you have known me long enough to know my faith is the most important thing in my life! Most of you probably do not know my story of much pain and some failures that God’s Grace has rescued me from. I am truly a blessed woman who proves God does give second chances and renewed life! Regardless of where God leads any of us in this next step of our life journey, I am quite certain we will find SUCCESS IF WE FOLLOW THESE STEPS! I wish you much JOY!
Continue to keep Jocelyn Garrison in your thoughts and prayers, as well as Cary Pedraza (custodian). Let’s also remember our “children” as they venture out into the summer! Remember for many of them, coming to school each day is the “best” thing that happens to them all day! They receive food, learning, love and care that they may not receive anywhere else!
