This Week in D404
Math:
- Divisibility- using what we know about numbers to decide whether a number can be divided evenly (example- 432 is divisible by 2 and 4 because it is even and it's last two digits are a multiple of 4)
- Divide multiples of 10 (example- 240 / 3 = 80)
- Reading Unit: "Reading History" - used various strategies to take notes about our American Revolution topics
- Writing Unit: "Bringing History to Life" - wrote the first two chapters of our informational books (All About the American Revolution & All About Our Own Topic)
Social Studies: (Since I was out sick earlier this week, the quiz will be next Friday.)
- Causes of the American Revolution
- Boston Tea Party
Next Week in D404 (Week of 1/13/2020)
- Estimating Quotients (using compatible numbers)
- Division Strategies (repeated subtraction & partial quotients)
Language Arts: Each of our reading and writing units coincide with each other, as they both focus on the American Revolution as a topic of nonfiction reading and writing informational books.
- Reading: Researching and note-taking about our American Revolution topics
- Writing: Finish writing our Informational Books about our American Revolution topics
Social Studies:
- Causes of the American Revolution
- First Continental Congress
- Battles of Lexington & Concord
- Quiz on the Causes of the American Revolution on Friday, January 17th
