2020-2021 Instructional Delivery Model Follow Up Survey
We want to share with you the results of the survey that we conducted regarding the start of school on August 10, 2020. As shown, 41% of families indicated the desire to return to a traditional school setting in the Fall.
We are also hoping to open our doors to welcome all students at that time. However, based on the newly released guidelines from the California Department of Education (CDE), the unfortunate reality is that a return to school in our traditional format is unlikely. Though very disappointing, we are developing instructional options that comply with the recommendations from the CDE and the Department of Public Health (DPH).
Please review the options we are developing for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year:
A Blended Learning model- Students would come ON CAMPUS FOR AN ADVISORY PERIOD for a reduced amount of time (1 ½-2 hrs a day for 2 days per week). While on campus, students and staff will be expected to follow all physical distancing protocols.
Here’s an example of what a Blended Learning schedule may look like:
A Distance Learning model- Students participate in ALL COURSES FROM HOME, with online, real-time classroom instruction and the balance as independent school work submitted through a computer or Chromebook.
