Summary
Four children, soon to be kings and queens, enter a new world called Narnia not realizing it will change their world forever. Lucy, the youngest of the four kids leads the family to believe in more than just your average magic. They encounter a White Witch, some beavers and a faun during their adventure. Though trouble follows them throughout their journey the four children never give up, especially when the Great Lion, Aslan, shows up.
A red robin leads the children into the world of Narnia.
Mr. and Mrs. Beaver then take the children into their home for safety.
Lucy, Susan, Peter, and Edmund discuss important information about Narnia with the beavers.
This is an important scene in the novel because it is when the children find out their true reason for being brought to Narnia. All four of them sit on edge wondering what will happen next as they continue their journey through Narnia.
Theme: Family can make it through anything!
The theme of the novel, The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, is that family can make it through anything. This includes the good times and the bad times. In the novel, the children learn to forgive their brother Edmund who betrays them. Even though it is during a difficult time, the family still stays strong together. I can relate to the theme of this novel because my family goes through hard times too. No matter what happens, I know we will always be there for one another and be ready to forgive each other.
