Westwood Families,
Hopefully the cold snap of weather is behind us, and the Lunar New Year brings another fresh start to a new month. The COVID numbers are down, and students and staff who have been out are back at school. This is great news.
The choirs and bands held their winter performances early this week and now our fifth graders are prepping for their first concert as a large group band. I know they are very excited.
Next week, we have office hours on February 10, 3:30 – 5 p.m. If you need to meet with your child’s teacher, please be sure to reach out so they can schedule a time to meet over WebEx or in person. Teachers will also be reaching out to parents who they may want to meet with, too. Teachers are on site and parents may also drop in for office hours. As previously communicated, our monthly office hours are replacing traditional parent/teacher conferences. We hope you find them flexible, timely and easy.
At the halfway point in the school year, we are already thinking about and planning for next year. In case you missed it, see a roundup of planned enrollment, grade-level transition and registration events that are continuing this month. If you’re not able to participate in a scheduled event but want the information, we have staff always happy to answer questions and make connections.
I hope your February is off to a great start.
