IT’S TIME TO START SELLING GRASSO PROGRAM ADVERTISING
This is a great fundraiser for you to take advantage of and earn Band Credits!
(Details are here, but we will answer your questions in person
at the July 14th Meet and Greet.)
- Program ads are advertisements & personal messages that can be purchased for display in the Grasso Marching Band Festival Program Book.
- 50% of the funds raised by the student will go into their personal band account as band credits which can be used for the annual participation fee and other band expenses. The remaining 50% supports the Marching Band & Guard.
- Many students have paid for their entire participation fee by selling program ads!
- Ad prices range from $350 for the back cover down to $5 for a 2 line Band Booster/Patron ad. (See Advertising Contract for sizes & prices.)
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Make copies of the attached Ad Contracts and Receipts and familiarize yourself with them.
2. Fill in your Band/ Guard Member name on each contract.
3. Put on your favorite show shirt or band apparel 😊.
4. Visit and politely and ask local businesses to support NHS Band and Guard.
5. Log the businesses you approached onto the Businesses Contacted Spread Sheet. Check the Business Contacted Spreadsheet before soliciting a business to make sure another student hasn't already asked for support. If you solicit a business not on the sheet, please add it!
6. AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE PAYMENT, REMEMBER TO:
- Fill out the contract, attach the check, and the graphics/Ad copy (unless the graphics will be emailed directly to grassoprogramads@gmail.com)
- Return program ad contracts and payments as you sell them. Put in an envelope with ”Program Ads” on it and put in the blue band box in the band room. Or put the check (with a note on it) in the blue band box and E-mail completed ad contracts & images to grassoprogramads@gmail.com. Do not give ads or checks to the coordinator’s children per policy of the board. (It is important to have your child’s name on the contract and the business name on the check).
- If you sell the inside front cover, inside back cover, or back cover please call or e-mail the coordinator ASAP so they can let the other band members know that those ad spaces are no longer available.
- Good copy/graphics is appreciated; stapled and folded ads do not scan well. If a business asks to layout an ad for them please come up with something in Word or another program, get it approved by them and then e-mail it to email below. If they give you an ad with coupons please check the expiration date so that it is AFTER the home show.
- Final date to return program ads in order to use the credits for the participation fee is August 27th (second Friday of band camp). Ads will still be collected until September 14th, however, those credits can’t be used for participation fee but can be used for the banquet, merchandise, & winter programs and the following season.
