Heart Disease in Women
The more a woman knows about heart disease, the better chance she has of beating it. The first facts you need to know are very serious: It’s the No. killer of women, it kills more women than all forms of cancer combined, and it kills more women than men. It’s often called the Silent Killer because heart disease victims often don’t even know they have it, so they don’t get treated or make healthy lifestyle changes.
But you should also know that the battle against heart disease is a battle we are winning! 80% of heart disease in women is preventable, and more women are beating heart disease than ever before.
