Suwanee Express
Week of January 28th
Happy Monday! As we close out January, mark your calendars for some amazing school events in February. We have our awesome Arts and International Night on February 28th and the Book Fair is returning as well. It looks like we may get some icy weather this week, so please read the update right below. Stay warm and have a wonderful week.
Your Proud Principal,
Mrs. Taylor
The forecast for tomorrow indicates a strong possibility of winter precipitation.
Remember that any school closure will be communicated using School Messenger, social media, the GCPS website, and local news outlets. If closure is necessary, the district could decide to hold a Digital Learning Day, rather than using a snow make-up. If a decision is made to hold a Digital Learning Day, it will be communicated as previously noted, and the processes for a Digital Learning Day will go into effect. Please see the attached flyer for parents. If a decision is made to use a standard snow make-up day, students and staff will not be expected to access online assignments.
Parent Survey
Additional Information:
The Georgia Parent Survey is also modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone or tablet. All parents should be encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey. Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. The Georgia Parent Survey link is posted below.
