Colts Neck High School
February Newsletter
From the Principals Desk
Dear Parents/Guardians, & Students
The winter is in full swing, and students at Colts Neck High School are busy with clubs, activities and athletics. We have had a lot of success over the past two months as our students have won both team and individual championships in activities and athletics. Congratulations go out to the Mock Trial Team, who won the Monmouth County Championship for the second consecutive year. Our Girls Swim Team won their second consecutive Shore Conference Championship, and our Girls Indoor Track team won the Shore Conference Championship as well.
Congratulations are in order to Mrs. Chavez, who was named Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Harold, who was named Educational Services Professional of the Year. Included in this newsletter are other examples of the spectacular achievements of our staff and students. Please take a moment to look over all of the impressive things happening at CNHS.
I urge everyone to continue to pay attention to the school funding situation in Trenton. As discussed in previous correspondence the FRHSD stands to lose $30 million in state aid. This will have a long lasting and devastating impact on the district, and will severely limited the educational experience of our students. Please consider reaching out to your local representatives to advocate for our district. Additionally, please look at the links below my message for updates on the state funding crisis.
