MWISD Tuesday Tech Tip for Teachers
#7 - April 18, 2017
This week's Tech Tip is about a tool called Flippity. It takes information in a Google Sheets spreadsheet and turns it into cool things.
Flippity
Flippity provides teachers with 13 handy Google Sheets templates for creating things like flash cards, quiz games, mix and match, cross word puzzles, bingo boards, progress trackers, and more.
Toward the end of 2016 Flippity released a Google Sheets Add-on that makes all of their templates available with just a couple of clicks in any of your Google Sheets. Using the Google Sheets add-on is the recommended method for fewer steps, but the web site can also be used.
Since no logon is required, students can use Flippity to create something as an assignment. Another idea is to use a Google Form to collect information from students since Google Form responses are stored in a Google Sheet. For example, students could submit questions and answers via a Google form and they could be compiled into a classroom set of flashcards.
How to use Flippity

- Click here for how to create flash cards without using the Google Sheets add-on
- See the short 3 minute videos below for how to install and use the Google Sheets add-on for Flippity.
