TWO DAY WEEK FOR THANKSGIVING BREAK
School on Monday and Tuesday Only - RETURN NOV 28th
This is the first time in many years where Appleton took the day before Thanksgiving off. We hope everyone is able to enjoy time with the people they care about. For those of you Black Friday shoppers, stay calm and be safe. There also will be no school on Monday, November 27th due to Staff Professional Development. Enjoy the extra long weekend and we will see you on Tuesday, November 28th.
MONDAY - MUSICAL 6:30 PM - FINDING NEMO JR IN MPR
Everyone is welcome to join us for an incredible musical performance by our Richmond Rockets. The show is free for everyone! Please consider joining us for a trip under the sea. We will be having a live feed from our Richmond YouTube Channel.
We will be having a matinee performance of Finding Nemo @1:30 PM. We have very few seats available because we will be having our students in the chairs. Again, we will be having a live feed on our YouTube channel.
TUESDAY - WEAR FLANNEL OR BLAZE ORANGE DAY
Our student council wanted to send us off with a little fun. Feel free to wear flannel or blaze orange to send us off for the Thanksgiving break!
NEED VOLUNTEERS (ELFS) FOR HOLIDAY SHOP
We are in need of multiple volunteers to help us run our Holiday Shop. We give every student the chance to purchase holiday gifts for their families. Most items will fall in the range of $1 to $5. All of the money comes back to the PTO and our Richmond classrooms. We need your help to make this all work.
Volunteering opportunities include: Collecting money for purchased goods, Bagging and Tagging gifts, and Restocking the tables.
The Holiday Shop will run from Tuesday, December 12th - Friday, December 15th.
Please review the available days and times below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
ONE AND ONLY IVAN - RICHMOND BOOK CLUB CONTINUES - DRAWING CONTEST - DUE TUES
To stay on pace, you should be through page 274 by next week Tuesday. Please return your drawings of the things you are most thankful for in your life. I will choose a couple of winners when we come back from the break.
Be ready for the final quiz next week. According to our reading calendar, you should be done with the book by Monday, November 27th. Movie night will be coming up next month on December 7th.

MR. KNAACK - SURGERY DECEMBER 8th
I am less than a month away from getting a new hip. I know this can cause some angst when any of our staff members have to be gone for an extended period of time. I have a great colleague, Karen Brice who will be my replacement while I am gone. She was a long time principal of Horizon Elementary in Appleton. We are lucky to have her. Outside of not hearing my loud voice, I would bet everything else will feel the same for you. I am sorry I have to leave you. My plan is to return in the middle of January. We will keep you informed if that changes.
LUNCH AND BREAKFAST MENUS
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS AT RICHMOND
This is a reminder that all students get free lunch and breakfast at Richmond. Breakfast will be served in the classroom. Students are not required to take it. If a student wants only a milk for lunch, your student would need money on their account. The cost is $0.40 per milk.
