GaGa Pit - Over the Top

Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity, we have reached our goal of $8,000 for the GaGa Pit. What started out as a brainstorming session by the Spirit Committee in November, turned into an all-out effort to raise funds and have fun doing it. The first thing we did was hold a quick bake sale during conference time and implement Pennies for the Pit. Then we challenged every class to be creative in designing its own fundraiser. Students held a Zumba challenge, used book sale, math fact challenge, an auction, read-a thon, and craft sale. Next came the Valentine’s Day greeting sale, popcorn sales at Family Fun Night, fourth grade PEN game contest, and the 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Overwhelming donations were made from Doyle families and friends and before we knew it our funding was over the top!

A huge thank you to our Spirit Committee: Zachary Stanton (President), Ava Mills (Vice President), Will Deschaine, Jack Galt, Bailey Weinhold, Alec Maraska, Sarah Hicks, Ingrid Stopperich, Maddie Abelson, Jaimie Magura, Grace Cashman, Parker Kilkenny, David Ross, Maddie LeFevre, Ashley Mullen, Darby Roth, Luke Fehrman, and Josie Hall. Thank you to our gracious thank you note committee: Josie Hall, Grace Cashman, Ashley Mullen and Jaime Magura. Special thanks to our donors: The Hotham Family, Knights of the Golden Eagle, Dr. Caren Frantz, Owen Meo, Bryan O’Neill, Carter and Sadie Philo, Lina Hofmann, The Donaher Family, The Hofmann Family, The Parker Family, and our former Soaring Eagles class of 2012!

Mrs. Strohl's class celebrates the prize of Boat Races for raising $551.27 for the GaGa Pit.
