- In the mail now! Pandemic EBT cards will be available to all YSD K-12 students in the next few weeks. You should have already received 1 letter from the state and 1 letter from YSD. Some families are already receiving cards.
- You do not need to apply.
- Each eligible student will receive a P-EBT card mailed to the current mailing address in our school records.
- If we have the wrong address in our records, your child's card will be mailed to the wrong address. Call 573-1700 if you need to update your mailing address.
- For all other questions, call 1-888-518-0282 or visit www.sshs.wa.gov/pebt.
Mrs. Mason was recognized by last week's recipient, Mr. Joshua Alexander, who wrote—
- Mrs. Lupita Mason always leads with kindness and consideration. She always shows caring for others by providing safety, comfort, clothing and food. Amazingly, this support for students and families happens in addition to the demanding workload that she already takes on as a school counselor. Mrs. Mason is a treasure to our school community, and I’m convinced she’s an actual angel.
Congratulations to this week's Roosevelt WHEEL OF PIZZA winners! These amazing students won free pizza delivery for dinner for their families! Thank you to each student and family member for all of your hard work! How can your child win the next Roosevelt WHEEL OF PIZZA? By turning in all of their work in Google Classroom and attending classes! Thank you to the Yakima Schools Foundation for your financial support!
Congratulations to our top students on Imagine Learning!! What is Imagine Learning? If your child is learning English, Imagine Learning is an online program that builds English skills. The recommended time for English language learners on Imagine Learning is just 20 minutes each day. Log on at the YSD Elementary Portal with your Gmail address. To learn more, watch the intro video for families or contact Roosevelt's ELL/Migrant Student Advocate, Gabriela Madrigal (573-1750).
Your child has 1 library, 1 music, and 1 PE class online on Google Meet every week. Students in these 3 specialist classes hear great stories, stay fit, and learn music instruments and concepts. For example, in Mrs. Marsh's 4th and 5th grade music classes right now, students are given drumsticks to take home and learn bucket drumming! Don't miss out. Click here to see your child's schedule for library, music, and PE.
Click for articles, videos, and more on our schedules, safety procedures, BEAR Expectations, parking lot routines, and everything you need to help your child succeed in hybrid learning.
Remember that Bears learn 5 days a week—2 at school plus 3 at home. Thank YOU, our families, for helping us keep hybrid learning going strong!
