Drop off and Pick up Lessons
This week and next week I am meeting with all classrooms grades 1st-6th to go over the rules for drop off and pick up. We will be going over the following rules:
1. Always exit/enter on the curb side.
2. Keep backpacks in the seat with you, not in the back of the car.
3. Enter and exit the car without driver assistance.
4. After school, wait only at the classroom number until they see their parent.
5. Always use the crosswalk.
6. If walking, head home right after school.
Please help your students follow school rules to keep all students safe and to expedite drop off and pick up.

Returning Students for 2022-2023 School Year
We are beginning to plan for next school year and would like to know which of our families are returning to Mission Valley for the 2022-2023 school year. Please complete the survey for your family by March 11, 2022.
Morning Help
We are looking for a parent volunteer to help out with the crosswalk at the exit of the drive through on Denise Street. The purpose would be to help with the flow of exiting traffic and those entering the campus. This could be a different person on each day or one person everyday. If you are interested please contact the office.
Volunteers
Starting March 1, 2022, volunteers will be able to enter FUSD facilities after meeting the following criteria: Volunteers must have approval of principal/designee and teacher to enter a classroom. Volunteers must provide valid photo identification. Per FUSD Board of Education action on February 9, 2022: Only one volunteer per classroom is allowed on campus at a time. Volunteers must complete a health/symptom screener. Volunteers must provide proof of vaccination: Per Alameda County Public Health (ACPH), people are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as J & J. The vaccines must be authorized either by the Food and Drug Administration or World Health Organization.

Good Byes
Our school secretary, Christina Flores, has moved on to work at the district office in the Facilities and New Construction department. We wish her well.
Mike Reams, our day custodian, will be leaving us on March 11 to take a job out of district. We will miss him greatly. Please have your students stop by and say goodbye before he goes.
