Crimson Point Elementary School
Parent Update 10-1-22
We are off and running!
Great News,
After our first month of school, our students are off and running. Teachers took the necessary time to focus on classroom expectations and building up their classroom communities. Students have finished their benchmark assessments and the teachers are diving into their curriculums.
Benchmark Assessments - Every fall, we have students take a math and a reading assessment. As expected, last year we saw a dip in our scores at the start of the year. Our goal was to do everything we could to "catch up" from all the missed learning in the spring of 2020. Crimson Points teachers and staff did an amazing job and it shows. Our student scored higher in both math and reading on the 2021 benchmark compared to the 2020 benchmarks.
Parent-Teacher Conferences - PTC''s are coming and our teachers can't wait to brag about how great your students have been doing. Make sure you sign up with your teacher for a virtual or an in-person conference. Due to these conferences and our annual October days/PD Day, your student's schedules will look different in the next few weeks. Look below for all of the changes over the next three weeks.
Ready for Kindergarten - Have a student ages 0-5? Make sure you check out the flyer below and sign up for our free parent workshops. dinner, childcare, and free materials will be provided.
respectfully,
Alex Jensen - Principal
