Cell Differentiation and Stem Cells

Cell Differentiation
Cell differentiation is when a single cell develops into a number of specific cells triggered from the responses in the body.
Totipotent is when a cell has the ability to develop into any type of cell. These cells are responsible for creating the different tissues and organs in an embryo.
What controls this complex process are the genes. They control the cell's size, shape, potential, activity, and responsiveness.
Stem cells
Stem cells are cells that have that ability to develop into different cell types and make the organism grow during its early life. Stem cells serves as an eternal repair system for the body.

Stem cells
Treatment of Graft failure and Therapy in Alopecia Areata are some important research application for stem cells.
Some questions of stem cells are: "Which research is best to pursue?" "Why not use adult stem cells instead of using human embryonic stem cells in research?" "What will be the best type of stem cell to use for therapy?"
