Roosevelt Information
A few reminders so you can stay in the know:
~ February is I Love to Read month! Help us celebrate by taking a selfie with your favorite book. Do you have a special place to snuggle up and read at home? A favorite reading buddy? Or maybe you like reading on-the-go? We want to spot our Roosevelt Raccoons reading everywhere. Email your selfie (feel free to include family members or pets in the photos) to Sarah Heuer at sheuer1@isd77.org. Be on the lookout for your friends’ selfies on the hallway TVs the whole month of February.
~ COVID Mitigation Info: The changes we have made for breakfast, snack, and lunch have gone very well. Kudos to the students for their amazing ability to adapt and change! These will be skills that serve them well throughout their lifetime. Mask compliance and proper mask wearing has also significantly improved--thank you for your support in this effort! If your child is exhibiting any symptoms, including common cold symptoms, please keep your child home. Also, if anyone in your household is testing, any unvaccinated individuals must remain at home.
~ PTO needs your help...please, please, please consider getting involved in our amazing group. The PTO is looking for parents who are willing to consider learning the job of President and shadow our current president, Kelsey Bellig, so that when she finishes her term at the end of NEXT year, someone knows the role. We are also looking for someone who job shadow the parent who is charge of carnvial games. Kristy Tokheim has this role very well-established, and she will do this for two more years, so if you wanted to jump on and learn how she does this, it would make for an easy, much-needed transition. Please consider this!!! We will help...we promise!
Have a great day,
Ann
