Healthy is the New Skinny (HNS) is dedicated to teaching girls about the harmful effects of media manipulation and offers a healthier, alternative perspective. HNS aims to
change the game of body image and challenge beauty “norms.” It serves as a platform that promotes a healthy and body positive lifestyle through the education and
empowerment of girls and women around the world. The talk will be tomorrow Tuesday, March 22nd at 7:00 PM in the NPHS PAC. All students and parents are encouraged to attend.

Odyssey of the Mind Teams: SMS had five teams participate in the regional (Los Angeles) competition. Two teams placed second and will move on to the state competition in April. Two teams placed third. As we get closer to the state competition, we will provide more information.
Winter Sports Teams: 8th Grade Boys Volleyball finished 2nd! 7th Grade Boys Volleyball finished 3rd. 8th Grade Girls Basketball finished 3rd. 7th Grade Girls Basketball finished 3rd and was awarded the Sportsmanship Award. Thank you to all the coaches who gave their time, the students for competing and the parents for supporting the students.
Strings: Our advanced Strings students competed in the Southern California Showcase last week in Moorpark and received a superior rating for all of their performances! Congratulation to both Mrs. Huang and all of her students!
