From our Nurse
A student with a temperature measuring 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater will be sent home from school. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to make arrangements for their student’s transportation home. The student must remain fever free for (24) twenty-four hours without the aid of medication before returning to school. Our goal is to keep students, staff, and family members that may have compromised immune systems healthy.
Any student that has vomited or had diarrhea due to illness must stay home from school. Any student who exhibits viral symptoms while at school or on a school sponsored field trip will be evaluated by the school nurse, or an accompanying teacher. If the student is believed to have an illness, that student will be required to leave school, or the school sponsored fieldtrip.
Students sent home from the school clinic for the above reasons are expected to stay home for the 24 hour period and not return to school the next morning. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this HSE policy, please contact me via phone or email. Let’s all have a healthy school year!
