We are delighted to be able to have volunteers into schools again, and would welcome parents to help us. If you are able to give any time to us, either on an ad-hoc or regular basis, you will need to complete a DBS application. Please contact the office for more information.

Futsal - Easter Holidays Club

Leeds Futsal will be running a football club during the Easter holidays for children aged 6-11. Expect plenty of fantastic goals, skills, assists, saves and much more! Children can become their favourite player, playing for their favourite team and earn value based on how many goals they score, save and assist.

The dates are:

  • Week 1: Monday 11th April - Thursday 14th April from 10am – 3pm
  • Week 2: Tuesday 19th April - Thursday 21st April from 10am – 3pm

At South Milford Football Club, Mill Lane, South Milford, LS25 5BN. The cost is £50 for 4 days but children in receipt of free school meals can claim a place for free.

Sustrans Big walk and wheel event

Thank you for participating in the Big Walk & Wheel. We are doing incredibly well! Out of 2,400 schools participating in the event, we have been in the top 150 all week. We are currently 17th in the whole North of England, which is amazing! 70% children have come to school on wheels or walking, and we have clocked up 154 active journeys. Please keep it up next week as this will make a difference to our environment and could put us in line for prizes.

PJ Day - Fri 1/4/22

We are having a PJ Day on Friday 1st April in order to raise funds for FOSS. In return for a donation of between £1 - £5, children can come to school in their pyjamas that day.

Chocolate Tombola - Fri 8/4/22

FOSS are holding a chocolate tombola on the last day of school, Friday 8th April. Children will be able to buy tickets to win chocolate prizes (vegan and dairy-free alternatives will also be available).

Eco Warriors Tip

Today’s water-saving tip from our Eco Warriors is: Use a water-saving device in your toilet cistern. Depending on the size of your cistern, you could save between one and three litres each time you flush the toilet.

School Lunches

Please see the new Spring 2022 Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 3 of lunches.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

Packed Lunches - if you are sending grapes in your child's packed lunch, can you please ensure that these are cut in half.
