Science & Engineering Day - Grades 3-5th
On Thursday, May 4th we are welcoming the Longfellow Middle School STEM students for our first Science & Engineering Day. The purpose behind this day is to celebrate science and engineering (STEM), support 21st century thinking, build connections across schools, and have students participate in student created design challenges. In the future, we hope to include all grades, but just our 3rd through 5th graders will participate this year. More information to come!
High Interest Day and the Timberwolf Trot are coming up on April 28th!
If you have not done so already, be sure to Join the PTA Facebook page and stay in the loop. On the page you can:
- Post school-related questions and pictures
- Receive helpful links to school info including the Timberwolf Trot

Congratulations to the Washington DI Teams!
Creativity, teamwork and problem solving -- critical skills for success in the 21st century -- were demonstrated in abundance by Wauwatosa K-12 students participating in the Destination Imagination (DI) Milwaukee regional tournament at Muskego High School on March 18. Seventy-six teams across the Milwaukee region competed in seven categories including, Scientific, Technical, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Service Learning and Rising Stars (K-2) and three divisions -- elementary, middle and high school. With forty-four teams, Wauwatosa was a powerhouse at the tournament. The seven Wauwatosa schools participating in DI this year are East, Longfellow, Lincoln, McKinley, Roosevelt, Wilson/WSTEM and Washington.
