December Do's:
- Wait Lists for each grade level turned into me the week after we return from Thanksgiving Break. A list of 5 or more students that are next in line at this time to attend if there is an opening. One team member can turn these into me.
- Email me if you do not have a key for your classroom door.
- Parent Involvement Activity-- keep parent log to turn in at end of year; send me a synopsis of what you did-- 3rd completed; 5th on the calendar.
- Peer Observations- the document shared out gives you a guide for this requirement. Get these set up before the time sneaks up on you in March!
- CWG Time and Shiela-- examples of what she can do as a resource-- examples of parent involvement; RTI activities; help with looking at data-- what should we look for? Trends? Outliers? We have had some grades turn in dates or times they want to meet. After break we are going to look at getting a sub for teams to work on items. I will clarify more at our BLT meeting to share out with teams.
- Star Testing Schedule was shared out by Ashley and Samantha. Please review this document. Norms and Expectations are attached. Adhere to these practices in order to keep our data relevant and reliable.
- RTI Schedule with Progress Monitoring was also shared out by Ashley. I will be working to tighten up our requirements for our School Benchmarks.
- Refer to our District Testing Calendar to know your windows: DRA Opens December 1st and runs until Jan. 23rd. Star testing runs at the same time lasting two days longer. Up to Jan. 30th.
- Check your December Calendar it is a busy month!! Always Always put all events that are for parents or families to attend in your newsletters-- classroom based or building/district based events.
- District Technology Committee Minutes was sent to everyone today. Jackie will be sharing out a Google Form that is required to answer in order to gather information needed in regards to technology and equipment.
- District Literacy Committee will be meeting at the High School PD Room on December 1st at 4:15-- Bring all of the materials that we took from the last meeting with you.
- Inclement Weather Thoughts: Our Calling Tree was placed on the Shared Drive. It has now been Shared out via Google docs. Please have this handy with the winter days approaching.
A great reminder in our world of technology and electronic communications. Remember that all of our emails are subject to the sunshine law. :)

Julie was so excited about the learning taking place!
Teachers should definitely chat with her for more details! Brandy Forsyth
For all teachers and staff that helped with the Glow Stick Dance-- you earned way more than a Doss' Denim Coupon! Thank you for your help!
For those who have taken time to give someone a simple moment of appreciation or acknowledgement. It is greatly needed at times and we tend to not see past our own classroom door when we get into the midst of the year. I have had some tell me a quick thank you here or there. I truly appreciate these and they give us the fuel we need to stride ahead. I hope I can give those back in return. Find the positive and share it!
