5th Grade Newsletter
Monday, September 2- Friday, September 6
We are enjoying getting to know your kiddos! We are still establishing procedures and routines; just remember, it will get easier with time! A newsletter will go home every Monday with important dates and information so make sure to be watching for it weekly. This Wednesday is college colors day and Friday is the day to wear your Roo blue! Please make sure that you are reading and signing your child's agenda each and every night. We write down homework, important dates, and keep track of behavior in the agenda. This is a great means of communication so feel free to leave us a note in the agenda if needed.
· Decimal place value – students will write decimals/whole numbers in standard, expanded, and written form. We will also compare and order decimals.
· Remind 101 – If you would like to receive text messages/emails regarding homework assignment for math and other information, please sign up for Remind 101. The directions are attached to the newsletter. Thanks. J
· Be sure to check agenda for homework assignments.
We are working on using context clues and reviewing elements of a story this week. Our first spelling homework and reading response will go home Friday and be due next Thursday! Please make sure you look at this with your child and sign. Ask your child about the Remind101 program where you can text and sign up for reminders from me as well.
